The reality of human existance is nothing like the fantasy land we were promised as children

It all starts when they begin teaching you about jobs

There's inevitably some city scene drawn out

And everyone has their place

There's the fireman, policeman, mailman

There's always -- always! -- some helicopter pilot for no reason

There's the astronaut, the scientist

Possibly the soldier

They're all happy

Always smiling

Then you grow up and realize that everyone around you is drunk

And you see the nude homeless guy in the park washing his wang in the drinking fountain

Or the meth addict shuffling along with ratty hair and always a gray sweater

Or you just get made fun of or screamed at from a passing car

That is, when you're not sitting at your desk for 8 hours a day making someone else rich

Remember when they made it seem like it was the easiest thing in the world to win the rat race

Start a business

And everyone was so happy

Even the soldier

Thanks a lot, fuckers

It's not really their fault, though

They didn't want to believe it either
